Who is Kim Burke?

Kim's enthusiasm for personal growth and supporting the growth of others led her to acquire training as a Coach through Accomplishment Coaching and certification from International Coach Federation. Kim's caring manner, attentive listening and keen intuition make her an excellent coach. Kim has a passion for asking questions and exploring possibilities. She enjoys having the big conversations, "Who am I?" "Why am I here?" and "What is my purpose in life?" Kim considers success as knowing she uses her talents and skills to bring something good to the world. She is excited to use her skills and passions to support your success.

Kim specializes in Coaching in the areas of personal fulfillment, relationship, parenting, career, mid-life and transtions.

In addition to Coaching, Kim has been an educator since 1986. Kim has a Master's degree in Reading Education and postgraduate work in linguistics, educational philosophies and literature. She has worked with a wide range of students, from 2-year-olds through college. She has consulted on curriculum design and day care establishment.

Kim owns and operates 2 small businesses: The Learning Workshop, a kindergarten and preschool, and Unstoppable U. She is a mother, a pet owner and a roller derby fan.

What is Kim's Coaching philosophy?

Kim's philosophy is that within each person is a guide. This inner guide offers direction and problem-solving power. At times a person may have difficulty listening to the inner guide because voices of fear or self-defense drown out the guide's still, small voice. Talking with a Coach supports a person in removing the fear that blocks inner wisdom. Who the person truly is, his or her essence, is revealed. When a person approaches life from essence, he or she is able to make satisfying choices from the authentic self, not from fear, feelings or self-defense. 

At her essence, Kim is Radiance Beauty Wonder Play Power. This is the place from which she strives to approach you. This means she has no personal agenda to DO anything except BE with you as Radiance Beauty Wonder Play Power.

Kim is committed to creating a safe, confidential, non-judgmental place for your inner voice to be heard. She believes you are a beautiful, powerful, loving, creative, whole being. She respects your inner guide and believes you are the expert on your own life. Therefore, she will not offer to solve your problems or tell you what to do. Rather, she will evoke your forward movement from you by reflecting your ideas back to you, offering a fresh perspective on your dilemma, provoking your thinking through powerful questions and supporting you in making decisions with integrity.
